How this is built, honestly. Every genuine passage is copied verbatim from a Project
Gutenberg edition and cited to author, work, year, chapter and ebook number — the source link
is on the card, so you can check any of them. Every forgery was written for this quiz by a
machine imitating that author, and says so on the reveal, along with the tell that gives it
away. Each of the ten writers appears twice: once real, once faked. You cannot play the
author: the name on the card is the writer it is presented as, and half the time that attribution is a lie. Only the prose can be played.
